The Work: How Every Piece Begins
Everything begins in wax.
Before the silver, before the casting — there is a block of jeweller's wax and a set of tools. The carving is slow. It has to be. You cannot rush wax the way you cannot rush stone. The material tells you what it will and won't do.
Lost wax casting is one of the oldest metalworking processes in existence. The carved wax form is invested in plaster, burned out in a kiln, and molten silver is cast into the void left behind. What comes back is a direct translation of the wax — every mark, every surface decision, every intention in the original carving.
This is why made to order matters. The ring doesn't exist until someone orders it. When it does exist, it exists once, for one person, at the right scale for their hand.
Worth the wait. Every time.
